Manifesting ✨ It is a deep-rooted tradition among dancers 👯‍♀️ to create an energy of abundance around themselves. From their private lives to their insta to their locker rooms...their lives are filled with signs, symbols and lucky charms to attract the good life. 

Not everything is capitalist at the beginning but in a world focused on money on which depends the comfort of life, the education of children, good quality food or even their dream outfits, their nails 💅 and their beauty. Women in the industry are very superstitious, sensitive and respectful of this hard-earned money. 

Thus, it is in the culture of every dancer to honor money and manifest its abundance. Often a taboo subject for Muggles, “dirty” for those who have the choice to judge, “odorless” for others. Money holds a specific place in the life of the Piris as a sacred object capable of miracles as well as curses. A bit like the ocean which soothes us as much as it is a hostile environment. That of the night is just as random and promises as many surprises as disappointments. So we wish each other good luck 🍀 good fortune. This expression dates back to the 17th century, when the term fortune referred to romantic encounters. We called good fortune the favors that women granted to their suitors. Subsequently, the meaning expanded to favors obtained from a renowned woman without a romantic relationship… coincidence? … think not. 

There is a quote that says “money is a person, attracted to people who respect it” Americans say “respect the hustle” = you have to respect the work…naturally we ended up calling dancers “hustlers”. Coincidence? Still not.
